Tomorrow’s Heads of Service are already in your organisation. Growing Future Leaders is a new national programme for people ready to step up from managing teams and services to leading whole systems.
Across four days of learning and reflection, combined with virtual sessions and practical tools, participants will build the confidence, political acumen and systems leadership skills they need to thrive in Head of Service roles in children’s services and the wider system.
Who the programme is for:
This programme is designed for people who are:
- Currently in team manager, service manager or equivalent roles in children’s social care, education, SEND, early help or related services.
- Leading significant pieces of work or services and being talked about as “future Heads of Service”.
- Ready to move beyond day-to-day operational management into leading managers, shaping strategy and influencing across the system.
It is suitable for participants from:
- Local authority children’s services.
- Partner agencies and wider social care where there is a clear interface with children’s services.
- Organisations looking to strengthen their succession pipeline for Head of Service roles.
