In 2013 the College produced a think piece, Systems Leadership for Effective Services, supported by a significant piece of research commissioned from the Colebrooke Centre, which explored the characteristics of systems leadership through a number of different lenses. Our commitment to this endeavour, has taken the College into a systems alliance with its counterpart leadership agencies for Adults Social Services, Public Health, the NHS and local government which culminated in a national place-based leadership programme called Leadership For Change which explored some of the most intractable leadership challenges facing the public at the time.
This commitment to systems leadership continues and is the underpinning philosophy for all current Staff College leadership provision.
