Over many years, The Staff College has been privileged to work with passionate and committed professionals on projects of individual, organisational and systemic change aimed at improving the lives of children, young people and their families.
Many of these projects have had a significant impact on policy and practice which over time have changed culture and systems at local level. However, the key lessons learnt have remained with those that created that change. We have decided to change that so that these stories of change and transformation can in future be shared across the children’s services community and the public sector more widely through a dedicated resource on our website called Tales from the Field.
Today we are publishing the first of these stories which describes how, over a three-year period, an initiative which began with schools has become a borough wide call to arms for creating a coherent local wellbeing system for all local children and young people in Rochdale.
