We are pleased to invite associates and coaches/mentors to an in-person event on Thursday 10th July from 10:00am to 4:30pm in Birmingham.
As associates and coaches with The Staff College, our goal is to positively impact the lives of children, young people, and communities by supporting the sector workforce to be courageous, confident, and inclusive leaders. We aim to create safe and reflective spaces where individuals can explore and develop their leadership skills, achieving equality, diversity, inclusivity and equity across the workforce and leadership landscape. To achieve these goals, we must engage in courageous conversations and acknowledge that this work can feel personal, disruptive, and emotional. Individuals may sometimes be triggered due to their personal or professional experiences, leading to intense emotional or psychological discomfort.
In this session, Staff College Associates Christine Wint and Morvia Gooden, will guide us in enhancing our understanding of trauma informed facilitation/coaching. The session will focus on why we need to develop this skill further to support those we work with drawing on Trauma-Informed Perspectives. Additionally, Narrative Alchemy will join us to help ‘connect heart and head’ when exploring this area.
We strongly encourage those who wish to represent The Staff College as associates, coaches, and mentors to attend this session. There is no charge for attendance, acknowledging your commitment to our work.
Please note that while we cannot fund your time or expenses for this day, we hope you recognise the value this Continuing Professional Development Opportunity offers. Overnight accommodation is available for purchase if needed and must be booked directly with the venue.
