Closing the gap in health and wellbeing outcomes in economically and socially disadvantaged families remains an important and stubborn challenge for all working in the public sector. Unprecedented reductions in local authority budgets, together with ever-increasing demand, challenge public sector leaders to find different and innovative ways to fill the needs gap. At the heart of this is the need change citizen behaviour so that they do more to look after their own health and well-being.
