Since its launch in 2009, the hallmark of the DCS provision has been its focus on reflecting the real work context of children’s services. We are able to do this through a strong network of partnerships which inform our design and delivery processes. Our partnerships are driven by shared values, a common moral purpose and a belief in a set of principles which commits us to deliver world class leadership development within the sector.
Crucial to the future sustainability of the leadership provision, is a close working alliance with our Local Authority stakeholders, working towards joint commitments to sector-led improvement. We share a joint vision to promote and sustain a learning community that has the capacity and resilience to meet the challenge of continued performance improvement through effective peer support and challenge and a collective responsibility for improving the outcomes for children and young people.
